I’ve always worked with my hands. As a child, I learned from my mother and my aunts — many of them artists — to play with colors, clay, and shapes. Since moving to Chicago, my creative spark has grown brighter than ever.

 

Purrfectly Handmade is the result of that journey — and of my love for shaping and sharing beauty with my hands and heart.

Here, I create handmade clay cats, each one sculpted, painted, and glazed with care. They are small companions, full of color, character, and a quiet touch of magic.

 

My first and deepest inspiration is my beloved cat, Ciruela — “Plum.” Ciruela, my best friend, my little big love, my companion, and my greatest inspiration. She came into my life during the pandemic, when we were living by the ocean in Chile, and gently transformed my world with her love. 

 

When we moved to Chicago, she traveled with us like a queen, calm and fearless. Our bond only grew stronger, and my love for her naturally became part of my art. I began by sculpting her, then my sister’s cat, my mom’s cat, a friend’s cat… and from there, many others followed, opening a new and unexpected path.

 

The joy I feel doing these whimsical companions is immense. Each one is made with love: each commission means a world to me.

 

This is only the beginning. I’m grateful to share a little more beauty in the world — through art, and through these magical little feline souls.
